Senior Corporate Insolvency Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Corporate Insolvency Associate to join a leading Manchester insolvency practice. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of corporate insolvency matters from appointment through to closure, while supporting the development of junior team members in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of corporate insolvency cases, including CVLs, MVLs, compulsory liquidations, administrations, CVAs, and pre‑pack administrations.
• Prepare statutory reports and documentation in line with the Insolvency Act, Insolvency Rules and SIPs.
• Liaise with directors, creditors, solicitors, accountants and other stakeholders.
• Conduct investigations into the affairs of insolvent companies and directors where required.
• Realise assets, oversee creditor distributions and prepare outcome statements.
• Attend meetings with directors and professional advisers and provide clear case progression updates.
• Review and delegate work to junior staff, providing coaching and mentorship.
• Assist senior management with workflow planning and technical matters.

Required profile

• Qualified Insolvency Practitioner (or equivalent experience) with several years of corporate insolvency experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases independently.
• Strong client‑service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• Experience mentoring junior colleagues.
