Senior Corporate Solicitor – Cheshire

About the role

The Legists, an award‑winning law firm in Cheshire, is seeking a Senior Corporate Solicitor to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of its corporate department. This full‑time position will involve guiding a team of solicitors, supervising case work, and delivering high‑quality legal advice to corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, support and oversee a team of corporate solicitors.
• Supervise case work and monitor the delivery of legal services.
• Provide advice on mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, restructures and commercial contracts.
• Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives for the corporate department.
• Drive business development and client acquisition activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in corporate law.
• Proven leadership experience managing a legal team.
• Demonstrated success handling complex corporate transactions.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience in business development.
• Track record of working in high‑performance, client‑focused environments.
