Senior Correspondent

About the role

MLex, a LexisNexis company, is looking for a Senior Correspondent to cover financial services legislation and regulation, primarily in the UK. You will analyse emerging trends, anticipate regulatory risks and break market‑moving news that informs decision‑makers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and interviews, produce urgent copy and meet tight deadlines.
• Identify and develop stories that resonate with the readership, delivering investigative pieces and commentary.
• Support senior journalists and editors by researching news leads and preparing briefing material.
• Explain complex regulatory or policy topics with strong news judgement and meticulous attention to detail.

Required profile

• Proven experience in reporting, media or publishing, preferably covering financial services regulation.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across international teams.
• Commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality journalism.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
