Senior Cost Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join a fast‑growing international offshore wind business. You will become the finance point of contact for project managers and commercial teams, bringing visibility and control to project costs, margins and forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Track project costs against budgets and forecasts, building robust cost reporting across active projects.
• Produce project P&L statements, monitor margins, WIP and revenue recognition, and forecast costs to completion.
• Identify cost variances and commercial risks early, manage subcontractor costs and purchase‑order controls.
• Work closely with Project Managers on resourcing, cost changes and scope adjustments.
• Support the bid team with cost models, pricing and tender submissions, using historical performance to improve future pricing.
• Develop better reporting, controls and finance processes as the business scales.

Required profile

• Strong cost or project accounting experience with a commercial mindset.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (preferred) and ability to explain financial data to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Experience in a project‑led environment, ideally within renewable energy, offshore wind, marine, construction or engineering.
• Proactive problem‑solver who spots gaps, proposes solutions and enjoys improving processes.

• Base salary £65,000–£75,000 per year plus discretionary bonus.
