Senior Cost Manager – Cost Management

About the role

RLB is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join its Cost Management team in Bristol. The role involves overseeing the financial performance of building projects from early design through construction and, where applicable, through operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the selection, appointment and management of construction and engineering contractors.
• Develop and maintain cost plans, indicative budgets and appraisals throughout project life‑cycle.
• Advise on procurement strategy and prepare tender documentation.
• Perform pre‑contract and post‑contract quantity surveying activities.
• Support commercial and contractual performance of projects, both individually and as part of a team.

Required profile

• Proven technical delivery experience in cost management within construction, healthcare, education or infrastructure sectors.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline; MRICS qualification or progress towards it.
• Client‑facing experience with strong stakeholder management and a track record of developing client accounts.
