Senior Cost Manager

About the role

A prestigious construction and property consultancy in London is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join its high‑performing cost management team. The role involves delivering cost management services across the full project lifecycle for commercial, residential, mixed‑use, infrastructure and public sector schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates and budget advice.
• Manage tender documentation, procurement processes and contractor analysis.
• Deliver post‑contract services including valuations, variations and cost reporting.
• Lead client meetings, site visits and project progress reviews.
• Manage change control and support final account negotiations.
• Provide clear, strategic cost advice throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
• Strong UK consultancy experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager.
• Proven ability to deliver both pre‑ and post‑contract services.
• Good knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.
• MRICS chartership or progress towards it is advantageous.
