Senior Credit Underwriter

About the role

Ramp is seeking a Senior Credit Underwriter to join its European underwriting team. You will evaluate businesses applying for Ramp’s corporate card and bill‑pay products across the EU and US, shaping credit and risk decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Review applications for corporate card and bill‑pay products, analyzing financial statements, bank data, bureau information and other risk signals.
• Recommend outcomes – approval, decline, lower limits or requests for additional information – and communicate clearly with customers.
• Manage an underwriting queue while meeting quality and SLA expectations.
• Partner with Risk, Product, Engineering, Sales and Customer Support to improve policies, tools and workflows.
• Identify emerging risks and leverage AI and automation to enhance decision quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• 4+ years in underwriting, credit risk management, commercial lending or a related risk role.
• Experience with corporate cards, payments, fintech or banking services.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including reviewing financial statements and transaction activity.
• Sound judgment to make defensible decisions with incomplete or conflicting information.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience operating independently and improving underwriting processes in a fast‑moving environment, preferably with European businesses.
