Senior Cyber Security Consultant

About the role

As a Senior Cyber Security Consultant at Actica, you will provide support to high‑profile UK public sector, critical national infrastructure and defence organisations, helping them protect their ICT investments and contribute to nationally critical projects that affect everyday lives.

Key responsibilities

• Providing security expertise for major system procurements and Agile programmes
• Identifying, analysing and evaluating information risks across programmes, projects and systems
• Explaining risk causes, likelihood and business impacts to risk owners and stakeholders
• Authoring and supporting security assurance documentation in line with risk management frameworks
• Developing or reviewing security architectures to mitigate risks from new technologies and practices
• Scoping security testing activities and communicating results and remediation

Required profile

• Experience with complex ICT systems in technical delivery or consulting
• Good understanding of enterprise information and communications technology
• Ability to present and justify conclusions to project teams and business stakeholders
• Proven ability to meet client expectations and requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Required skills

• Knowledge of structured security frameworks such as HMG SPF and ISO27001
• Familiarity with security, technical and enterprise architecture methods like TOGAF and SABSA
• Technical risk assessment experience
• Enterprise security packages
• Software development and delivery
• ICT service delivery, including ITIL
