Senior Cyber Security Engineer – Hybrid (Leeds)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement and enhance security solutions across a modern technology estate. The role will act as a technical expert, strengthening controls, reducing risk and supporting business‑critical projects for a large international organisation. This is a hybrid position based in Leeds.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security architectures and controls across cloud, infrastructure and applications.
• Drive security best practices and embed them in projects and day‑to‑day operations.
• Lead threat modelling, risk assessments and security reviews.
• Provide senior escalation support for security‑related incidents.
• Mentor junior team members and deliver technical guidance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security engineering, cyber security or security architecture.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISM, CCSP, CRISC or SSCP (desirable).
