Senior Data & AI Consultant

About the role

We are partnering with a leading London law firm to hire a Senior Data & AI Consultant for its newly created Lawtech team. This is the firm’s first dedicated data specialist role, responsible for shaping data, AI and knowledge asset strategies to improve legal service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Build and develop the firm’s legal knowledge data model.
• Analyse business, client, matter and knowledge data to generate insights.
• Create dashboards, reporting and visualisations using Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.
• Support AI, automation and innovation projects, including preparation of structured and unstructured data for AI use cases.
• Assist with AI‑ready knowledge repositories, LLMs, vector databases and enterprise AI platforms.
• Contribute to data governance, quality standards and best‑practice processes.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across legal, IT, risk, finance, marketing and innovation functions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data, analytics, AI or machine learning.
• Strong Python programming and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience designing data models, building data pipelines and delivering analytics.
• Proficiency with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Exposure to large language models, vector databases or enterprise AI platforms.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Interest in legal technology and knowledge management; legal sector experience is a plus but not mandatory.
