Senior Data Engineer – Customer Data Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver a scalable Customer Data Platform (CDP) that provides unified, high‑quality customer insights across the organisation. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to shape architecture, lead design decisions, and ensure seamless integration of customer data systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable CDP solutions using Oracle Unity CDP, aligned with enterprise data architecture.
• Build and integrate data pipelines to ingest, transform, unify, and synchronize customer data from multiple sources.
• Define, implement, and maintain data models supporting Customer 360 profiles, segmentation, and activation use cases with strong data‑quality controls.
• Integrate Oracle Unity CDP with the enterprise data lake and related platforms, ensuring consistency and governance.
• Lead technical design, data‑modelling, and architecture workshops with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Identify technical design and data‑model risks, assess impact, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor, optimise, and support ETL processes and CDP operations, resolving data‑quality, performance, and integration issues.
• Maintain documentation, data‑governance, and security standards to comply with privacy and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate technical concepts, trade‑offs, and recommendations clearly to non‑technical and executive audiences.
• Partner with the Oracle vendor implementation team throughout discovery, build, and go‑live phases.

Required profile

• Experience in software engineering, data engineering, or data architecture.
• Proven track record as a Lead Engineer or Senior Individual Contributor owning critical platforms.
• Hands‑on experience designing and operating Customer Data Platforms (e.g., Oracle Unity, Salesforce Data Cloud, Adobe Experience Platform, Tealium).
• Strong expertise in data modelling, Customer 360 architectures, data pipelines, and ETL frameworks.
• Solid working knowledge of SQL, Python, and JSON.
