Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Azure

About the role

This is a permanent senior data engineering position focused on Microsoft Azure data platforms. The role will lead the evolution and modernisation of core data platforms, supporting analytics, AI insights and executive decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Support and enhance ingestion pipelines from systems such as MS Dynamics CRM, MS Dynamics Finance & Operations and SAP SuccessFactors.
• Develop and maintain Azure Synapse‑based ingestion and staging layers, including Synapse Link integrations and data pipelines.
• Own the Enterprise Data Warehouse on Azure SQL Server, implementing transformations with stored procedures, views and DBT.
• Apply a medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold) to ensure reliable, scalable data.
• Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to deliver Power BI semantic models, executive dashboards and operational reports.

Required profile

• Strong experience as a senior data engineer in enterprise data environments.
• Strategic thinker with proven stakeholder engagement at all organisational levels.
• Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Azure data services.
