Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake) – 6 Month FTC

About the role

AND Digital is looking for an experienced Lead / Senior Data Engineer for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Bristol. You will take hands-on ownership of architecting, building and deploying modern data pipelines in Snowflake, dbt and Dagster, and lead the design of scalable data models and machine learning models.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated, modular transformation pipelines in a modern cloud data warehouse, following a clean, tiered physical data architecture from raw ingestion to governed marts.
• Implement enterprise-grade data security, including automated quality testing, role-based access control (RBAC) and dynamic data masking for sensitive customer information (PII).
• Guide engineering best practices across CI/CD, version control and automated orchestration, working with product managers, analytics leads and platform architects.
• Lead the design of scalable data models and machine learning models, with Martech experience highly desirable.

Required profile

• Proven expertise architecting and operating data solutions in enterprise cloud data warehouses (modern columnar cloud platforms).
• Advanced SQL and Python engineering skills, with deep experience in modern data transformation frameworks and workflow DAG orchestrators.
• Hands-on experience setting up automated unit and integration test suites, lineage tracking and role-based privacy controls.
• Experience in fast-paced sprint cadences, breaking complex epics into shippable increments.
