Senior Data Modeller – Insurance (AI & Data)

About the role

As a Senior Data Modeller you will lead the design of strategic, business‑focused data models for major insurers, helping them modernise legacy systems and unlock AI‑driven analytics. You will work within a consulting practice that shapes data foundations across underwriting, pricing, claims, finance and risk.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end data design for large‑scale insurance programmes, from conceptual to logical and physical models.
• Create a unified language for data dictionaries, vocabularies, taxonomies and ontologies.
• Collaborate with solution and enterprise architects to shape data and analytics architectures.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, guiding design choices and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Develop strategic roadmaps for Data & AI capabilities, including predictive analytics, BI, AI/ML and GenAI.
• Lead workshops, capture requirements and align business and technology teams.
• Manage multidisciplinary consulting teams, fostering an inclusive culture and developing talent.
• Support pre‑sales activities, RFI/RFP responses and thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Establish governance and design authorities to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Proven consulting experience with client‑facing delivery and stakeholder engagement.
• Deep knowledge of the insurance sector (underwriting, pricing, claims, risk, finance or asset management).
• Strong ability to translate complex business needs into clear data models.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering large‑scale programmes.
