Senior Data Product Manager – Digital Products

About the role

The Senior Data Product Manager owns a defined area of the Enterprise Product Hub (EPH) product estate, focusing on the attributes that enable Elsevier to sell digital products. Reporting to the Senior Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics, you will lead the green‑field build of a digital product lifecycle solution and coach analysts to deliver high‑quality outcomes in an AI‑enabled environment.

Key responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into clear specifications, and drive them from concept to live release.
• Prioritise work based on business value, balancing maintenance, programme delivery and long‑term roadmap trade‑offs.
• Write testable, constraint‑driven requirements for Spec‑Driven Development, focusing on clarity and success criteria.
• Coach and develop junior and mid‑level analysts, support onboarding and contribute to recruitment.
• Own the product area’s roadmap, success measures and long‑term planning while contributing to data governance and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven ability to operate independently, owning a product or workstream end‑to‑end and making prioritisation decisions under ambiguity.
• Strong senior stakeholder management experience across business and engineering teams in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Deep knowledge of data management practices, including master data management, data governance and metadata management.
• Experience writing clear, well‑constrained requirements and adapting to AI‑assisted delivery methods.
