Senior Delivery Manager

About the role

Appcast Enterprise is looking for an experienced Senior Delivery Manager to lead capacity planning and value optimisation across multiple IT development teams in Bristol. You will act as the bridge between agile scrum teams and larger waterfall‑managed projects, ensuring that both project work and BAU activities are balanced to deliver maximum business value.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and allocate team capacity between Portfolio Assurance Group (PAG)‑prioritised projects and essential BAU tasks such as defects, patching and evergreening.
• Maintain a rolling forecast of candidate sprints and share forward‑looking roadmap projections with internal Project Managers.
• Partner with Project Managers to refine project plans, reconcile sprint contents with dependencies and support proactive plan adjustments.
• Mentor and guide development teams as they mature their iterative, scrum‑derived ways of working.
• Monitor and optimise business value by aligning team output with the highest strategic priorities each sprint.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in delivery management within a complex, multi‑project IT environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to build transparent relationships with internal Project Managers.
• Deep understanding of both agile (scrum) and waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation abilities to balance demand with capacity.
