Senior Deputy Nursery Manager – Early Years

About the role

Our client operates bespoke nurseries that provide stimulating, safe environments for young children. They are seeking a Senior Deputy Nursery Manager to support the delivery of high‑quality early years provision and to help lead a dedicated team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), including overseeing planning and record‑keeping.
• Promote and facilitate partnership with parents, carers and families.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with local authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies.
• Stay up‑to‑date with current developments in childcare and education policies and practices.
• Assist the Manager with accurate nursery accounts and produce management information in line with company procedures.
• Help prepare and deliver regular staff, planning and parent meetings and other events.

Required profile

• Childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3.
• Previous experience managing a room or team within a nursery setting.
• Current First Aid qualification.
• Sound understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Thorough knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Formal management qualification desirable but not essential.
