Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing Agile engineering team. The role is fully remote and focuses on maintaining existing cloud infrastructure while designing scalable, high‑performance solutions on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain production AWS environments, including ASGs, ECS, RDS Aurora, MSK, ElastiCache, S3 and Redshift Spectrum.
• Design, develop and manage reusable Terraform modules and infrastructure‑as‑code pipelines.
• Mentor and share knowledge with the wider DevOps team, fostering best practices and confidence across technical areas.
• Plan complex technical work, break down deliverables, and help the team manage uncertainty.
• Improve deployment processes, rollback strategies, monitoring, and migration approaches.
• Contribute to coding standards, peer reviews and adoption of new engineering practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial DevOps or infrastructure experience, preferably at scale.
• Proven experience managing live production environments, incidents and rollouts.
• Strong understanding of cloud cost visibility and optimisation.
• Experience with PHP 7/8 deployments and Linux (Ubuntu) administration.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, relational databases and MPP data warehouses such as Snowflake.
