Senior DevOps Engineer – SC Cleared (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an SC‑cleared Senior DevOps Engineer to join a large finance house in London. The role is hybrid and operates inside IR35, focusing on the delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of the core finance system.

Key responsibilities

• Support, maintain and develop core changes to the finance platform.
• Collaborate with solution designers and teams to create product roadmaps and end‑to‑end architecture.
• Maintain technical chains across the wider estate and promote safe code from pre‑production to live.
• Develop and maintain technology roadmaps for the domain.

Required profile

• Proven production support experience, including out‑of‑hours release support.
• Hands‑on experience with on‑prem Kubernetes and OpenShift deployments.
• Strong Linux system administration in high‑availability production environments.
• Expertise in observability – designing and operating logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards and alerting using ELK, Splunk, Prometheus and Grafana.
• Security‑first mindset with experience in secure payment systems.
• Cloud platform experience on Azure, AWS or GCP.
