Senior EICA Design Engineer

About the role

Join Trant Engineering to lead the delivery of complex, high‑impact projects as a Senior EICA Design Engineer. You will apply extensive engineering knowledge and leadership to manage projects, guide technical teams and ensure sustainable design throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead moderately complex scopes or major project components, overseeing design, specifications, drawings and documentation.
• Develop and manage work plans, resource‑loaded schedules, budgets and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations and sustainability principles across the design lifecycle.
• Mentor and supervise engineering staff, providing technical guidance and reviewing outputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred) and Chartered/Incoporated membership of a professional engineering institution.
• 7+ years of engineering experience with proven project leadership and technical oversight.
• Relevant certifications such as CSCS Card, SHEA Water Qualification or EUSR Water Hygiene Qualification.

Required skills

• Development of EICA specifications and detailed engineering drawings.
• Project scheduling and budget management.
• Technical problem solving for unconventional engineering challenges.
