Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer to join a respected building services consultancy in Hampshire. You will be responsible for delivering electrical design solutions across a wide range of sectors, from commercial and industrial to education and high‑end residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects through all RIBA stages.
• Produce designs for power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, photovoltaic systems and EV charging infrastructure.
• Prepare technical specifications, design calculations, reports and contract documentation.
• Attend client meetings, design team workshops and site visits.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects and external consultants.
• Support tender processes, contractor reviews and technical evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, industry standards and sustainability requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Experience in a building services consultancy or equivalent electrical design environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services design principles.
• Proven ability to design power, lighting, fire alarm, PV and EV charging systems.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
