Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Join a dynamic consultancy focused on delivering the UK’s 2050 Net Zero Carbon Targets for buildings. As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will lead electrical building services design projects and mentor junior engineers while working from our Wilmslow office on a hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver electrical building services design projects through all RIBA stages 1‑6.
• Support the building services design process (RIBA 1‑4) and collaborate with the services team.
• Assist during construction (RIBA 5‑6) and work with project management teams.
• Engage in low‑energy building design and produce, review and approve calculations, drawings, models and technical reports.
• Provide expert advice on electrical engineering design and mentor junior engineers.
• Develop and improve internal technical systems and maintain client, supplier and expert relationships.

Required profile

• Chartered Electrical Engineer, member of a recognised professional body (e.g., IET, CIBSE).
• Minimum 5 years experience in the building services sector, including at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related building services qualification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Dialux and Revit software.
• Design of lighting, power, fire and security systems.
