Senior Employer's Agent – Construction Consultancy

About the role

We are a growing construction consultancy in London seeking a Senior Employer's Agent to lead residential development projects. You will act as the client’s trusted advisor, overseeing schemes from pre‑construction through to practical completion across affordable housing, build‑to‑rent, mixed‑use and private residential sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the client’s commercial, contractual and delivery interests on residential projects.
• Lead procurement and tender processes, coordinate design teams and manage programme, cost and risk.
• Administer JCT Design & Build contracts, issue instructions, notices and certifications.
• Chair project meetings, manage multidisciplinary consultants and monitor contractor performance.
• Ensure quality, compliance and successful handover through defects and final account stages.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior stakeholders, funders and clients.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of Employer's Agent experience within a construction consultancy.
• Strong residential development background (affordable housing, build‑to‑rent, mixed‑use, apartments).
• Experience working for developers, housing associations, local authorities or investors.
• Deep knowledge of JCT Design & Build contracts.
• Proven ability to manage projects from pre‑construction to completion.
• Relevant degree in Building, Construction Management or related field.
