Senior Employment Associate Solicitor – £80k-£110k

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Employment Associate Solicitor to join a top‑tier Legal 100 firm in Reading. You will work alongside senior partners, providing strategic advice to a diverse client base that includes national and international businesses, charities, and public institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day employment law advice across multiple sectors.
• Handle complex disciplinary, grievance, performance‑management and capability issues.
• Manage Employment Tribunal claims from inception to final hearing.
• Advise on redundancies, restructures, TUPE transfers and business reorganisations.
• Draft and negotiate contracts, policies and staff handbooks.
• Support corporate transactions with employment law expertise.
• Guide senior executives on settlement agreements and restrictive covenants.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers while contributing to business development.

Required profile

• 7+ years post‑qualification experience in a recognised employment team.
• Strong track record advising employer clients on a broad range of matters.
• Extensive Employment Tribunal litigation experience.
• Excellent technical knowledge combined with commercial awareness.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and generate new business.
• Confidence to lead junior team members and handle complex cases independently.
