Senior Energy Claims Advocate

About the role

The leading global insurance and risk advisory business is seeking a Senior Energy Claims Advocate to join its growing claims function in London. You will manage large, complex energy claims across on‑shore and off‑shore portfolios, working with major corporate and multinational clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of high‑value, technically complex Energy claims, covering upstream, midstream, downstream, Power, Marine and Liability exposures.
• Provide strategic guidance from pre‑loss planning through claims preparation, negotiation and final settlement.
• Liaise with insurers, reinsurers, loss adjusters, legal advisers, forensic consultants and technical experts to achieve positive outcomes.
• Support business development activities such as client presentations, tender opportunities and market engagement.
• Maintain strong client interaction and act as a trusted advisor throughout the claims lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling complex Energy claims within an insurer, broker, loss adjusting or claims consulting environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage technically complex claims from first notification to settlement.
• Deep understanding of Energy risks, including Oil & Gas and Power exposures.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to engage with insurers, reinsurers, loss adjusters, lawyers and other stakeholders.
• Excellent knowledge of policy coverage, claims strategy and stakeholder management, with the capacity to work independently on multiple high‑value matters.
