Senior Engineer – Construction Site Management

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join Kier’s construction team on a high‑profile commercial project on Oxford Street, London. The role combines on‑site technical support with remote collaboration, offering flexibility while contributing to a landmark development.

Key responsibilities

• Set out works and regularly verify setting‑out points and benchmarks for accuracy.
• Monitor and inspect the reinforced concrete (RC) frame contractor and other trades to ensure compliance with technical standards.
• Raise technical queries with the design team and supply chain to secure necessary information.
• Monitor and report on the technical compliance of materials, equipment, products and workmanship.
• Communicate primary setting‑out information to the site team and ensure correct implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in RC basement construction and preferably RC superstructure construction.
• HNC level or higher in a civil engineering discipline.
• Hands‑on setting‑out experience using surveying instruments.
• Training and experience in temporary works.
• Valid CSCS Card and SMSTS qualification.
