About the role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Highways Design team in Salford. The role sits within the Civil Engineering team delivering the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework, producing designs, drawings, reports and related documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare preliminary and detailed highway designs in line with approved procedures for local and national authorities.
- Produce design schedules, health, safety and welfare contract documentation and ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015.
- Deliver technical and feasibility studies that meet client specifications, assessing risks, materials and costs.
- Conduct on‑site investigations, analyse maps, reports and test data, and generate technical files.
- Mentor junior staff, oversee their work and contribute to technical excellence and innovation across the team.
Required profile
- Member of a professional engineering institution (IEng/CEng) or working towards competence.
- Strong working knowledge of civil engineering design software, such as AutoCAD.
