Senior Engineer

About the role

A senior engineer is needed to lead a small engineering team at a leading bakery ingredients manufacturer within a major international food group. The role combines hands‑on engineering with supervisory responsibilities in a fast‑paced, highly automated production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of one engineer and one fabricator, providing guidance and supervision.
• Ensure reliability and smooth operation of nine production lines.
• Plan and execute both scheduled and reactive maintenance activities.
• Oversee the maintenance of industrial mixers, blending systems, heat sealers, packaging and carton packing equipment, check weighers, metal detectors, conveyors, storage silos and other ingredient handling systems.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior, lead or team‑leader engineering role.
• Broad multi‑skilled engineering background.
• Experience in food, pharma or process manufacturing environments.
