Senior Environmental Planner

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Planner to join an established consultancy in Cheltenham. You will lead a variety of environmental planning and EIA projects across the South West, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate planning applications for a range of client projects.
• Lead and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects.
• Manage projects, sub‑consultants and deliver on time and budget.
• Develop new business opportunities and prepare tender submissions.
• Liaise with clients to understand requirements and provide expert advice.

Required profile

• Demonstrable planning experience, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Chartered status with the RTPI or working towards it.
• Proven project management experience.
• Previous experience coordinating EIAs.
• In‑depth knowledge of the technical aspects of EIA disciplines.
• Ability to produce professional, high‑quality reports.
