Senior ESG Programmes Manager

About the role

Acre is supporting RECOSI, a global membership organisation of energy and infrastructure companies advancing responsible commodities sourcing, in its search for a Senior ESG Programmes Manager. The role reports closely to the CEO and combines programme leadership, stakeholder engagement and practical delivery. It focuses primarily on the RECOSI Gas Programme, while contributing to wider programme development such as Bettercoal and potential future work across other energy commodities. The position is based in London and is offered on a hybrid basis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of RECOSI's ESG programmes, keeping them credible and aligned with members' needs.
• Build trusted relationships with senior representatives across the membership and encourage their active participation.
• Develop strategies to bring suppliers and intermediaries into the programmes and build confidence in the responsible sourcing approach.
• Act as an ambassador for RECOSI at industry events, engaging with companies, associations, policymakers, investors and civil society.
• Translate regulatory developments and sustainability commitments into practical due diligence approaches, working with external technical experts and technology partners.
• Manage programme budgets, timelines and reporting, develop team members and work with the CEO, colleagues and member committees.

Required profile

• Strong track record in programme or project management, delivering complex initiatives, managing budgets and meeting milestones.
• Experience in a membership organisation, multi-stakeholder initiative or industry association.
• Understanding of ESG, responsible sourcing and supply chain due diligence, including relevant regulations and frameworks.
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial approach, able to work independently and navigate ambiguity.
• Ability to represent an organisation externally and build a credible industry network.
