Senior Event Operations Manager – London

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Event Operations Manager to lead the planning and delivery of premium events across London for Rocket Food, part of Compass Group. The role combines front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house leadership, ensuring every event meets the highest standards of service and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational planning and execution for a diverse portfolio of high‑profile events, from concept to delivery.
• Manage both Front of House and Back of House teams on‑site, overseeing service flow for events of up to 500+ guests.
• Produce detailed event plans and communicate operational information to sales, events and operations teams.
• Brief, motivate and supervise on‑site staff of varying sizes.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and tastings, providing operational expertise and solutions.
• Coordinate supplier relationships, equipment requirements and logistics to ensure seamless delivery.
• Ensure all RAMS, Health & Safety and compliance documentation is completed accurately.
• Build strong partnerships with venues and clients, acting as the trusted operational contact.
• Support recruitment, training and development of event teams.
• Contribute to projects that improve efficiency, profitability and guest experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior event operations role within hospitality, catering or events.
• Confident leader who can develop and motivate teams.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience delivering high‑volume, premium events in fast‑paced environments.
• Excellent communication and polished client‑facing approach.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and event compliance requirements.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems under pressure.
