About the Role
Join MGM Timber, a leading subsidiary of the Donaldson Group and one of the UK's largest private timber companies. As an External Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance and branch profitability through strategic leadership and proactive market development.
Main Missions
- Drive branch sales performance and margin growth by implementing effective commercial strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure high performance and achievement of targets.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan for the branch.
- Manage pricing policies and closely monitor market trends to maintain competitive advantage.
- Oversee key account management while actively prospecting for new business opportunities.
- Organize supplier training sessions and strengthen long-term client relationships.
- Monitor sales team performance and provide continuous support and guidance.
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record of achieving ambitious sales and margin objectives.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a sales force.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
- Highly organized with a proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, influence, and strategic decision-making.
