Senior Facade Consultant

About the role

A leading multidisciplinary built environment consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Facade Consultant to join its specialist Façade and Fire Consultancy team. You will deliver façade investigations, fire‑risk appraisals of external walls and provide construction oversight for high‑risk residential and mixed‑use projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct PAS 9980 FRAEW assessments, including site investigations, risk analysis and detailed reporting.
• Perform intrusive façade inspections, material sampling and external‑wall system evaluations.
• Advise clients on façade fire safety, compliance strategies and remediation solutions.
• Review projects against Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act and relevant fire‑safety legislation.
• Support Building Safety Regulator Gateway submissions and monitor high‑risk building compliance.
• Inspect and audit remediation works, review tenders and provide technical guidance throughout project delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of consultancy or engineering experience with significant façade inspection and FRAEW exposure.
• Degree‑qualified in construction, engineering or a related discipline, or membership of a relevant professional body.
• Strong knowledge of façade systems, fire‑safety principles and UK building legislation.
• Proven experience on high‑risk building remediation projects.
• Ability to review technical documentation, resolve design issues and work independently.
• Full UK driving licence.
