Senior Facilities Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Facilities Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operation of our commercial and mixed‑use portfolio, based at Sunlight House in Manchester. The role involves ensuring all properties are well maintained, safe and aligned with our sustainability objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee building maintenance and coordinate all service contractors across the North West.
• Manage service‑charge budgets, financial reporting and cost‑control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and ESG standards, including BREEAM and NABERS.
• Drive efficiency improvements and sustainable refurbishment projects in partnership with senior directors.
• Maintain records, risk registers and reporting for heritage and mixed‑use assets.
• Lead contractor relationships, negotiate agreements and monitor performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of facilities management experience, preferably in commercial or heritage properties.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, risk management and ESG requirements.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, service charges and contractor performance.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with a detail‑oriented, problem‑solving mindset.
• Relevant certifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH are essential.
