Senior Facilities Technician

About the role

Lotus UK Manufacturing is looking for a Senior Facilities Technician to join the Facilities team at its Norwich plant. The role supports day‑to‑day maintenance of production equipment, plant services and building infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of high‑performance sports car manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Inform production managers of maintenance activities and progress.
• Check and calibrate key production and metrology equipment for internal and external audits.
• Carry out minor electrical and compressed‑air installations and building maintenance tasks.
• Move and install small plant items, perform routine servicing and organise larger maintenance projects with method statements and risk assessments.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and update certificates, legislative records and asset registers.
• Repair production equipment, investigate faults and maintain tidy workshop and site areas.
• Manage stock of specialist components and spares, support external contractors and ensure health‑and‑safety compliance.

Required profile

• GCSEs in maths, science, English and design & technology (or equivalent).
• Understanding of engineering drawings and principles.
• Good practical and technical aptitude with awareness of health & safety legislation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, early starts and participate in an on‑call rota.
