Senior Finance Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Administrator to support finance, compliance and operational projects within a well‑established organisation in Sherborne. Reporting to the Office Manager, you will combine project‑based work with traditional finance and company secretarial administration, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive efficiency and support new systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation and administration of business transformation projects, including wealth reporting, investment and loan databases, and electronic invoice/expense approval systems.
• Provide finance administration support such as audit‑related activities, preparation of senior management approval documentation, maintenance of investment, loan, property and mortgage records, and routine accounting system tasks (exchange‑rate updates, ledger reconciliations, payment processing).
• Maintain company secretarial and compliance duties: manage work‑in‑progress records, prepare statutory filings, update corporate registers, coordinate regulatory reporting and ensure GDPR/ICO registers are accurate.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance or administration with a strong eye for detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with accuracy and initiative.
• Comfort working in a professional environment and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
