Senior Finance Assistant – Immediate Start

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Assistant to join a growing organisation near Hungerford on an immediate basis. The role is full‑time, office‑based and initially fixed‑term for six months, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain both purchase and sales ledgers in Xero.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including credit control and supplier/customer query resolution.
• Prepare and process invoices, raise purchase orders and support invoicing and billing activities.
• Monitor finance inboxes, handle statement reconciliations and support GP and management reporting.
• Provide ad‑hoc assistance to the Financial Manager and Head of Finance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Finance Assistant or similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently across multiple finance functions.
• Excellent Excel skills, including VLOOKUP formulas.
• Confident user of Xero accounting software (non‑negotiable).
