Senior Finance Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Assistant to support the finance team of a fast‑growing property finance company in North London. The role involves day‑to‑day finance operations, accurate reporting and liaison with lenders and borrowers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
• Bookkeep and post journal entries using double‑entry principles.
• Manage daily payment runs and process payments.
• Monitor and allocate receivables.
• Prepare portfolio statements for funders.
• Draft mortgage and repayment statements for borrowers.
• Handle the accounts inbox and resolve queries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Support credit control activities and reporting.

Required profile

• AAT qualification or equivalent recognised accounting/bookkeeping qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounts or finance role within property finance (bridging, buy‑to‑let, residential or commercial lending).
• Strong understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping.
• Experience with accounts payable and receivable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
