Senior Finance Business Partner

About the role

This newly created Senior Finance Business Partner position sits at the heart of a fast‑growing FMCG distributor. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will act as the finance voice inside the commercial operation, partnering closely with Sales Directors and other commercial leaders to shape pricing, challenge performance and influence strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance partner to Sales and commercial leadership, providing insight, challenge and strategic support.
• Own the end‑to‑end pricing process, leading the annual pricing cycle and in‑year price changes across Sales, Buying, IT and Operations.
• Monitor gross margin performance, flag risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver monthly reporting on margin, pricing performance, customer profitability and product‑level insight.
• Provide scenario modelling and profitability analysis for pricing strategies, new products and commercial business cases.
• Support marketing ROI analysis and post‑investment evaluation.
• Build commercial dashboards and tools with the Group data team to improve performance visibility.
• Own budgeting and forecasting for commercial areas, producing clear, well‑supported outlooks.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a finance partner within a commercial or FMCG environment.
• Ability to influence senior commercial leaders and work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with sales directors.
• Strong analytical mindset and comfort operating in a fast‑changing, high‑pace setting.
• Track record of delivering insight and challenge that drives commercial decisions.
