Senior Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Senior Finance Business Partner will join the finance leadership team of a large, purpose‑led organisation operating across Scotland. In this senior position you will provide strategic financial support and challenge to senior stakeholders, influencing decision‑making and helping to shape the organisation’s transformation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Finance Business Partnering function and develop a high‑performing team.
• Partner with senior leaders to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and scenario‑planning activities.
• Deliver meaningful financial insight to identify risks, opportunities and performance drivers.
• Support business cases, investment decisions and transformation initiatives.
• Influence resource allocation and organisational priorities.
• Enhance financial capability across non‑finance stakeholders.
• Contribute to wider finance strategy, governance and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post‑qualified experience.
• Significant experience in business partnering, financial planning or performance management within complex organisations.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Strong commercial and analytical capability.
• Experience supporting organisational change, transformation programmes or strategic projects.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into practical business recommendations.
• Leadership experience with a passion for developing finance talent.
