Senior Finance Manager – Education (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Springer Nature is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to support its Education division on a fixed‑term maternity cover basis. Based in London with a hybrid working model, you will act as a key finance business partner across Central Publishing, Commercial Development and Global ELT publishing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Central Publishing Management Office to provide financial support, focusing on Investment in Content (IIC).
• Collaborate with Commercial Development and Western Europe Sales on pricing, commercial evaluations and new business model development.
• Prepare and evaluate Investment Approval cases for global ELT publishers, including P&L analysis and financial summaries.
• Oversee sub‑rights and licensing revenue performance with the Customer Publishing team.
• Own the financial elements of the IA process: data collection, metric definition, modelling, and pipeline maintenance.
• Lead forecasting, reporting and financial governance activities to enable high‑quality decision‑making.

Required profile

• Senior‑level finance professional with strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
• Proven experience in financial modelling, data analytics and P&L management.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and business‑partnering skills.
• Experience in publishing, education or related sectors is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
