Senior Finance Manager

About the role

Reed is partnering with a supportive, close‑knit company in Gloucester to find a Senior Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the finance function while working closely with the senior management team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the organisation’s budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and scenario planning.
• Maintain strong financial governance, internal controls, statutory accounts and audit processes.
• Manage cash flow, aged debtors, credit control and treasury activities.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, cash‑flow reports and balance sheets, explaining variances to senior stakeholders.
• Oversee payroll and pension processing in line with HMRC requirements.
• Monitor grant, funding and project expenditure and provide data for funder reports.
• Lead audit preparation and maintain relationships with external auditors.
• Support the Senior Management Team and participate in the investment committee.

Required profile

• UK‑recognised accounting qualification (CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a senior finance role.
• Strong analytical, organisational and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication, report writing and stakeholder management skills.
• Current clean UK driving licence.
