Senior Finance Manager

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Manager to join a rapidly growing, private‑equity‑backed organisation in Burnley. Reporting to the Group Finance Director and working closely with the CFO, you will own the finance function and help shape the business as it expands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full month‑end and management accounts process, including journals, accruals and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare flash reports and provide timely updates to senior management.
• Act as the key finance business partner for operational stakeholders, delivering commercial analysis and insight.
• Assist with annual budgets, forecasts and ongoing financial planning.
• Coordinate audit requirements and prepare supporting schedules.
• Review and approve supplier payment runs and oversee payroll activities.
• Develop and maintain management information and reporting to meet business needs.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or QBE).
• Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end management accounts and month‑end reporting.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing, mentoring or supervising a finance team.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or a similar ERP system.
