Senior Finance Manager – UK Operations

About the role

Butler Rose is partnering with an international organisation to appoint a Senior Finance Manager for its UK operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will own the finance function, drive performance and provide commercial insight across a project‑led business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and strong governance.
• Prepare management and statutory accounts, overseeing month‑end and year‑end processes.
• Produce cash‑flow, KPI and performance reports for senior stakeholders.
• Drive budgeting and forecasting cycles to support strategic planning.
• Partner with senior leadership to influence growth and commercial decisions.
• Oversee project financial performance, revenue recognition and cost control.
• Manage audit processes and ensure compliance with UK and international regulations.
• Act as the primary finance contact for international stakeholders and group reporting.
• Lead and develop a small finance team.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (QBE or equivalent).
• Proven senior finance experience in a UK‑based business.
• Strong technical knowledge of VAT across multiple jurisdictions.
• Commercially astute with ability to influence and challenge stakeholders.
• Experience in project‑based or international environments (desirable).
• Confident communicator with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
