Senior Financial Administrator – Path to Junior Paraplanner

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Administrator to join a modern, independent financial planning firm in the heart of St Albans. This full‑time position offers a clear route to a Junior Paraplanner role, supported by structured technical development and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑level administrative support to Financial Advisers and Paraplanners.
• Process new business for pensions, investments and protection products.
• Prepare client review packs and meeting documentation.
• Liaise daily with clients, providers and third parties.
• Maintain accurate client records and CRM systems.
• Handle policy servicing tasks, withdrawals, fund switches and provider requests.
• Assist with technical research and suitability report preparation.
• Support compliance and regulatory processes.
• Deliver exceptional client service throughout the financial planning journey.

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (completed or near completion).
• Previous experience as a Financial Planning Administrator or in Wealth Management Administration.
• Strong understanding of pensions, investments and financial planning processes.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong administrative and client‑service skills.
