Senior Forward-Deployed AI Engineer – Tactical AI Automations

About the role

PIMCO is looking for a Senior Forward-Deployed AI Engineer to join its Tactical AI Automations team. You will work closely with Portfolio Management and Analytics groups to embed AI and LLM‑based tools into daily investment workflows, driving adoption and translating user feedback into product road‑maps.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and configure AI/LLM tooling for Portfolio Management, Quant, and Research teams.
• Provide operational support for Lane Assist and POET during European business hours.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, demo solutions, and ensure successful rollout.
• Monitor usage, collect feedback, and prioritize enhancements for the PM AI platform.
• Participate in cross‑functional initiatives to scale AI adoption across the firm.

Required profile

• Strong technical depth in AI, large language models, and related tooling.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience working in fast‑paced, collaborative environments.
• Proactive problem‑solver who learns from mistakes and iterates quickly.
