Senior FP&A Manager

About the role

As a Senior FP&A Manager based in Southampton, you will support a not‑for‑profit organisation by leading financial planning and analysis activities that drive strategic decision‑making. You will ensure the organisation’s financial health through robust budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts and financial models aligned with organisational objectives.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to underpin strategic planning and decision‑making.
• Oversee accurate financial reporting and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver sound financial advice.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase financial efficiency.
• Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering performance and growth.
• Support grant management by delivering financial oversight and reporting.
• Stay informed of financial trends affecting the not‑for‑profit sector.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis and reporting.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and forecasts effectively.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude.
• Experience in the not‑for‑profit sector is advantageous but not essential.

• Fixed‑term contract with a salary range of £65,000‑£75,000 per year, dependent on experience.
