Senior Fraud Analyst

About the role

This senior role will support the launch of a new credit‑card product for a fast‑growing financial services business. You will shape the fraud strategy from the ground up, using data and analytics to influence decisions, optimise controls and protect customers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse transaction data to uncover fraud trends, anomalies and risk drivers.
• Develop, test and optimise fraud rules, alerts and decision‑making strategies.
• Create dashboards and reports for governance, regulatory compliance and commercial insight.
• Support the launch and continuous optimisation of the new credit‑card product.
• Conduct detailed analysis of emerging fraud typologies across card transactions.
• Validate fraud models and new solutions before deployment.
• Collaborate with product, technology, operations and compliance teams to deliver the fraud strategy.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience in card‑fraud analytics within payments or financial services.
• Solid understanding of card schemes, transaction lifecycles and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Advanced data‑analysis capability, preferably using SQL or Python.
• Experience working with fraud rules, alerts and optimisation strategies.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
