Senior Full Stack Kotlin Developer

About the role

We are supporting a leading UK digital consultancy that delivers large‑scale digital transformation programmes for the public sector and healthcare. As a Senior Full Stack Kotlin Developer you will design, build and maintain secure, scalable services that have a real impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Kotlin and Java applications using Spring Boot and micro‑service architecture.
• Design, implement and consume REST APIs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary Agile teams to deliver high‑quality software.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Contribute to cloud‑native solutions on AWS, Azure or GCP, using Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Kotlin and JVM development.
• Strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and micro‑services.
• Hands‑on experience with Node.js, TypeScript and related frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration.
• Experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary teams and mentoring peers.
• Desirable: consultancy background, public‑sector or NHS projects, knowledge of Kafka or Helm.
