Senior General Manager

About the role

You will lead Unipart’s new seven‑year operation at the Oxford plant, overseeing all logistics services and acting as the site lead for large‑scale warehousing and physical logistics activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead compliance for Health, Safety, Environment, Sustainability and Quality standards as the site responsible person.
• Define and deploy operational and commercial objectives to drive business‑plan growth and meet cost‑down commitments.
• Monitor and maximise operational efficiency and profitability by managing cost levers and analysing data.
• Manage resources including workforce planning, direct staffing, agency provision and talent development.
• Lead customer engagement to build robust relationships and support long‑term partnership growth.
• Promote the Unipart Way culture by sharing best practices, coaching colleagues and driving innovation and digital initiatives within the warehouse.

Required profile

• Strong operational logistics background at senior level, preferably in manufacturing or automotive environments.
• Proven ability to deliver complex operational change projects in a rapidly changing setting.
• Experience developing strategic relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Significant P&L management experience, including budgeting within closed‑book commercial agreements.
• Demonstrated ability to work constructively with trade unions in a large direct‑headcount operation (250+ FTE).
